I think the song Dirty Little Secrets by All-American Rejects is a good song to describe the part of the story where there is the tale about the women's husband having donkey ears. this is because the women is trying really hard to keep this secret and she has to go and put her head under water to get it out. in the music video there are people who are telling secrets that they would never tell another soul.

You're "F**kin' Perfect!"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUGJ02Uc8yA
The song I chose was "F**kin Perfect" by Pink. This song shares a common theme with "The Wife of Bath's Tale": appearance.I chose this song because it talks about a lot of insecurities that women tend to have about their appearances. The knight was upset because his wife was old and ugly. He was basing his opinions on her by her looks, not her personality, which happens to a lot of women. The old woman was actually very confident in herself because she knew that she was pretty on the inside. She knew that she was "F**kin' Perfect" and just had to get the knight to see that. The lyrics that stood out to me was
"Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever ever feel

Like you're less than fuckin' perfect
Pretty pretty please, if you ever, ever feel like you're nothing
You're fuckin' perfect to me!
Pretty pretty please, if you ever, ever feel like you're nothing
You're fuckin' perfect to me!
You're so mean, when you talk, about yourself you were wrong
Change the voices in your head, make them like you instead
So complicated, look how big, you'll make it
Filled with so much hatred, such a tired game
It's enough! I've done all I can think of
Chased down all my demons, I've seen you do the same"

The Wife of Bath's Tale
"A person satisfied with poverty even without a shirt, lives wealthily. He who covets is the poorer man, desiring property he can never possess... Indeed, when one is low, it's poverty that will make one want to know both God and self. It magnifies, for through its lens a man sees whether friends are true." (pg. 37; lines 1185-1189, 1201-1204)
I Hate Everything About You
In "Wife of Bath's Tale," the knight the story is about hates that his wife is old, ugly, and of low class. This reminded me of the song "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace. The chorus of the song starts at 0:56:
"I hate everything about you
Why do I love you"
"I hate everything about you
Why do I love you"

Kind Knight, or Clever Conman?
During the conclusion of the Wife of Bath's Tale, did the
knight truly care for his wife enough to allow her to make the decision regarding her
fidelity and appearance? Or was the knight clever enough to realize that this
might be another test, and tricked the woman himself? “My lady and my love, and
my wife so dear, I put myself in your wise governance” (The Wife of Bath’s
Tale, lines 1230-1231). Additionally, was the knight redeemed after his quest
for knowledge? Why should a rapist deserve a beautiful and faithful wife?
MEDIEVAL WOMEN VS MODERN WOMEN
It is very clear that women in the medieval time period and in modern day are completely different. In today’s society, women are known to be sensitive as well as strong. However, in the medieval period, women were either known to be good or evil. Meaning they were either known for their acquitted personalities or their seductive ways. However, in today's society people have several views of women. Women are known for their strength being able to do anything a man can do or even more. In addition, in our society, it is very unusual for a woman to ask a man out. However, this was not the case in the “Wife of Bath’s Tale” the old magical lady gave the knight the answer to “what thing it is that women most desire” then seduced him by telling him that he should pledge to her that he will do whatever she required of him, which later result in her begging him to take her as his wife. The expectation of women in the medieval time period is also different than in modern days. Women in the medieval period desire “sovereignty”. They only want to have power over their husbands as much as any lover (Osborn, 33). However, women today want to end gender inequality. They want the same opportunity as a man which includes equal pay, equal rights, respect etc.

Gold Digger!
The Wife of Bath is VERY needy and uses 3 out of 5 of her husband's for money and presents. If she had it her way, all of them would have been obedient and rich. So, this song accurately describes 3 of her marriages because The Wife of Bath, is indeed, a gold digger.
